Suppose you’re on a big party, and you don’t know anybody. Some of the guests have taken their clothes off, because it’s very hot. Soon you find yourself in the middle of a crowd of beautiful bodies. You quickly learn: it’s a no-questions-asked opportunity. Probably the party of your lifetime. Bam-bam-bam goes the beat, you find a body you like, that body likes you too, and soon you’re one, following that beat. You do things you haven’t done at home. You’re fucking a complete stranger, (s)he has no expectations, but cries Thank You when you’re done. You almost miss hearing it, looking for your next partner.
A blast from the past, or: is anybody remembering David Cameron? The guy who fought porn, oh, and he was Prime Minister, too? David Cameron’s Internet porn war won’t put women off watching it – quelle surprise – because ladies are looking (for) porn, too! Nice news article
. And when both men and women are looking for porn, and some governments are building up firewalls that will prevent exactly that – what will happen?
The revival of the printed porn magazine! So retro, so cool again! Continue reading
For a moment you wonder if you should swap your telephone numbers. But tomorrow already nobody of them would want to call you. So enjoy this very moment. You’re exhausted at the end of the party of your lifetime. Has anybody taken photos?
The emphasis on interest has created the buzzword of the day: Tumblr, and also Twitter, is an interest graph while networks like facebook and Google+ are social graphs. Note the difference: Twitter is rather transparent and you quickly learn how’s following whom. Tweets can be read by many, not only followers. Tumblr users are collecting stuff they’re interested in from people they are following. There is no ‘public life’ like Twitter has. Tumblr’s dashboard is one’s very personal window to the world, and that’s why so many of us got so upset when Yahoo was buying this platform. Continue reading
Eyes – the windows to the soul. The pornographic hand, a brief touch of tenderness. A shy kiss – traces of intimacy.
Watch for them: new puritans are around! Under the hood of diversity, safe spaces and seemingly philantropic attitudes the depiction of naked people (among many other things) becomes a dangerous thing. So watch some porn before it’s too late and all studs get separated from women while women have to wear wrappers. Yes, the Mental Sinema loves diversity, and like all famous last words we have to note that nobody’s interested in discussing it but just to shout all opponents down. Or to keep its contradictions under wraps. You know, that’s were the women are. Continue reading
Still smiling: Tiffany Diamond
– and your firstborns will die! Might even get worser, depending on whom you’re giving your vote. History is lurking around, don’t let it get you. After four years we’ll know more. The only thing, I guess, that we have learnt from this election campaign is that media can’t handle it any longer. This quest for sensations is just ridiculous: who will form an opinion on all this? And what kind of opinion is this meant to be?
Mental Sinema likes that moment of anticipation, the silence before ecstasy. We are looking at porn images as if it was art. Why shouldn’t it be art?
Mental Sinema isn’t that interested in the porn industry but in the aesthetics of porn. What are the patterns? How does porn work? Why are we attracted or disgusted? How does it reflect our own desires?
On our travel through porn we have discovered that porn needs some kind of cultural context. If a viewer assumes an image to be porn or not is dependent from his cultural circle. Since the legalisation of porn this context is changing constantly.
From Anna (Au) to Anna Aj: I’m not sure (whatever you can be sure of here) if their names are always right, they change often, but whatever their name is: each Anna is a beauty.
